Incidentally, the Ferg was supposed to be built exactly where Woods Hall is — student intervention saved that old building from being torn down to make way for the new student center.

This side, facing Houser Hall, has remained relatively unchanged.
In 2014 the Ferguson Student Center finished a 75,000 square foot addition and a 100,000 square foot renovation. The construction of the addition began in July 2013, expanding the building outward on the south side. Renovations include all dining locations, the University Supply Store and Ferguson Mail Center. New spaces added during the addition were the Career Center, Great Hall, new staff offices and additional meeting rooms.
In 2019 the Ferguson Student Center theater renovation was completed. The roughly $1 million update began in December 2018 and was completed May 2019. The renovation included the University’s Welcome Center moving to the Ferguson Student Center. The theater update included a brand-new look with 410 new seats, a new audio-visual system including a Christie 16,000 lumen laser projector, a new 20-foot projection screen, all new speakers, microphones and stage and house lighting.
